The Thalassari
08 / Deep History

Before the first horizon

The earliest story belongs to Nerathis. Only later does an interstellar civilization begin to ask whether the ocean is its entire world.

Rise within the waterworld

The saga begins with an advanced civilization confronting its own pressure, ecological and political limits. The decisions that matter are local long before another species takes the stage.

From biology to civilization

The oldest eras belong to Nerathis itself: an ancient global ocean, the slow rise of complex life, and cultures that navigate without a coastline. Later cities grow around energy, nutrient and transport corridors. Expansion changes what these communities consider home long before anyone crosses the ocean’s upper boundary.

Beyond the ocean, still their own world

Questions about any life beyond Nerathis remain a later scientific frontier, never an explanation for the planet’s origin. The first saga belongs to the ocean and to the Thalassari who built their world within it.
