The setting—a massive orbital medical station above Earth in 2172—creates an engine that can generate a new crisis every episode while still supporting serialized mythology. Every patient can be human, alien, synthetic, military, diplomatic, or biologically unknown. Every cure can trigger a moral, political, or technological consequence.
The pilot’s hook is that medicine is the first battlefield. The team believes they are facing a deadly outbreak, but the deeper reveal suggests the virus is not merely a pathogen. It may be the first wave of an intelligent invasion, using biology as language, strategy, or infiltration. That gives the pilot an immediate procedural spine—triage, diagnosis, containment, treatment—while quietly widening the genre into conspiracy, first contact, and survival.
