Screen submissions use a separate lane
A book query and a screenplay query are different products. Aurora does not send a novel, screenplay, pitch deck, series bible, and visual archive together unless a verified recipient requests that package.
Agent route
Negotiation and employment or sale opportunities, usually after market traction, referral, management, or recognized work.
Producer route
Property-specific development interest through an accepted submission channel, representative, referral, competition, or direct request.
Competition / fellowship route
Selective use where readers, terms, rights, fees, deadlines, and industry outcomes justify the submission.
Adaptation route
Book-to-screen material presented only after underlying rights, source canon, and the intended adaptation format are clear.
Attorney route
Submission releases, option/shopping terms, writing agreements, attachments, chain of title, and contract review—not creative representation by default.
Screen query package
- One project, one format, and one clear reason for contacting that recipient
- Logline, genre, feature or series format, page count, and concise writer biography
- Short synopsis or one-sheet when the submission route permits it
- Clean screenplay PDF with title page and controlled revision identity
- Rights and registration status stated accurately without legal overclaiming
- No attachments, links, pitch deck, or bible unless the recipient’s instructions allow them
